Symmetry & Words

Everynone is a filmmaking team based in New York. Two of their many works that are awe inspiring and very creative are: "Symmetry" and "WORDS".

In our daily lives we see symmetry in almost everything around us. This video shows us the symmetry of difference. This can be seen in simple objects such as fries & ketchup, peanut butter & jelly, day & night, fire& ice; or in a more complex human way by means of social interactions between: a police officer & criminal, men & women, newborn & elderly, laughter & crying, birth & death.

In language, a word is the smallest free form that may be uttered by humans. With words we can express our feelings and emotions, describe things, enact others, elicit our frustrations and anger, exert our power and project our dominance. This second video from Everynone looks at the words in our lives and how do we use them.

  4. That was seriously cool. I like how the mind puts the two parts together like they're meant to be.

  10. I didn't agree with some of the first video, it mostly manages opposite things, but then gives some complimentary things and others just related (Tho this could relate mainly to cultural differences). On the second one it was a bit hard to keep track since my english is so bad.
